Project Description
Through the UBCM Canada Community Building Fund, Community Works Funds are provided to local governments for local infrastructure and capacity-building projects. This project will be funded through Community Works Funds for $238,000, and General Revenue for the remaining.
The Greater Vernon Athletics Park is utilized by residents, sports groups and visitors for sports programs, recreational activities, and events. This project will see improvements to the including:
- repaired netting on hammer cage
- paved portion of the shot put area
- replacement of football goalposts
- perimeter path repaving
- track line repainting
