Facility description

The Grey Canal Trail follows along British Columbia's longest irrigation channel that once sustained orchards and agricultural plots throughout the valley.  It follows the alignment of the old canal, and at certain sections the pipelines can still be seen. Dogs are permitted on all sections of the Grey Canal Trail, but are required to be on leash. 

The Grey Canal Trail offers a variety of sections to be enjoyed by the whole family. Parking areas for the trail are as follows:

  • Parking available at the end of Sierra Road, off Crosby Road
  • Parking available at the end of Pinto Place, off Appaloosa Way
Turtle Mountain --> Blue Jay Road
  • Parking available off Turtle Mountain Blvd on each side of the road.
  • Parking available at the end of Blue Jay Road
Glenhayes Road --> Baker Hogg Road
