In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water (GVW) from 1300 to 1405 28 Ave (see attached map) are on a precautionary Water Quality Advisory (WQA) until July 23, 2024, at 5:00 pm
A repair to a water main in this area resulted in a loss of water to customers at these addresses. As a result, the RDNO is issuing a precautionary WQA, flushing the water main after completion of the work, and sampling the water main to ensure the continued safety of the water system.
What should customers do?
When the water service resumes, properties in the area may experience reduced water pressure, discolouration of the water, and/or air. Please run a cold water tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.
The level of service and treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing any food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when brushing teeth.
Any further updates will be posted to www.rdno.ca/news (filter by Water Notices). You can also subscribe to receive future email updates at www.rdno.ca/subscribe.
