Regional District gives approval to Silver Star Resort Association Bylaw and Maps
The Board of Directors, at their meeting held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, provided Regional District approval of the Silver Star Resort Association Bylaw and Maps. It is expected that the Silver Star Marketing Task Force will now proceed to undertake a petition process to determine whether there is community support to establish a resort association at Silver Star Mountain under the Resort Associations Act.
“Approval of the Silver Star Resort Association Bylaw and Maps was the second step required by the Silver Star Marketing Task Force to allow the group to move forward to a petition process. The role of the Regional District has now concluded” said Chair Bob Fleming.
The Silver Star Marketing Task Force is seeking to establish a resort association at Silver Star which is intended to benefit the resort community through enhanced marketing and promotion as well as provide an opportunity to access grants and other funding for the Silver Star community.
