Temporary Disruption to Water Service and Water Quality Advisory
Location: 34a Street between addresses 2307-2403 and 24 Avenue between addresses 3405-3501, including 3601 on Monday July 8 - see map attached. (Notices being hand delivered)
As part of ongoing efforts by the Regional District of the North Okanagan (RDNO) to maintain water quality and infrastructure, an unplanned water outage occurred on Monday July 8. Water service to your residence had to be temporarily turned off.
We apologize for the inconvenience during this disturbance.
Starting on July 8th, this area will be on a Water Quality Advisory (WQA) until 48 hours after water is returned to service. During this time, you may notice reduced water pressure, air in the water, discoloration and/or increased turbidity (cloudiness). Please run a cold tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.
The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, some customers may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when preparing any food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when brushing teeth. This WQA will be rescinded on Wednesday, July 10th at 7pm without further notice from the RDNO.
