The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises customers of the Mabel Lake Water Utility (MLW) that operators will be completing regular annual spring standpipe turn-ons beginning on Friday, May 10, 2024. The work is planned to be completed by May 15, 2024. A map of the water utility is below.
Part of the standpipe turn-on process includes flushing water mains. As a result, customers may notice some cloudiness or sediment in their water. If this occurs at your home, please run a cold water tap closest to where the water enters your house before your hot water tank, any in home filtration, or taps with aerators. An outside tap is preferred. Protect outside taps from freezing if used.
