The Mabel Lake Water Utility (MLW) is informing customers on Dolly Varden Road, Walker Road, Lusk Lake Road East, and Mabel Ridge Road that leak repair work will begin on
Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The repair work is occurring on Dolly Varden Road south of the Dolly Varden Road and Walker Road intersection (see map on back). Intermittent road closures may occur during the planned construction work and access to properties north of 42 Dolly Varden Road may be restricted. Every effort will be made to allow access for vehicles during this work, however it is suggested that if you require your vehicle in a timely manner, that you park below 42 Dolly Varden Road for the day.
Impact to the Water Service
It is anticipated that the area of the leak can be isolated and customers should not lose water but it is suggested that customers store a 24-hour supply of water before the work begins in the event of an unexpected outage. This work may also cause cloudiness, air in the water and/or a reduction in water pressure.
What should customers do?
If you experience a water interruption and/or the water is cloudy, please run a cold water tap closest to where the water enters your house before your hot water tank, home filtration, or taps with aerators. An outside tap is preferred.
