March 24, 2025

As part of ongoing efforts by the Regional District of the North Okanagan (RDNO) to maintain
water quality and infrastructure, there will be a planned water outage on March 24, 2025 between
the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. During this period, water service to your residence will be
temporarily turned off, however, it is possible that your service is fed from another distribution line and you may not experience any loss of service. To minimize the inconvenience, we recommend that you take the following precautions:
- Store an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, household needs, and sanitation
purposes.
- Ensure that faucets are turned off to prevent any damage once water service is restored.
- Plan ahead for any activities that may require water, such as bathing or laundry.

Following the water interruption, a Water Quality Advisory (WQA) will be in effect until further
notified.

During this time, you may notice reduced water pressure, air in the water, discolouration and/or
increased turbidity (cloudiness). Please run a cold tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap
is preferred.

The level of treatment provided by the RDNO has been maintained; however, customers with
weakened immune systems or wishing to take extra precaution should boil their water for at least
one minute when preparing any food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or
ice or when brushing teeth.
