Updated: October 21, 2024 14:00 – The City of Enderby will lift its Water Quality Advisory as of October 22, 2024 at 16:00.
The Water Treatment Plant’s ultraviolet system has been returned to service. However, as water is in the distribution system that has not received two forms of disinfection treatment, the Water Quality Advisory will remain in effect for the next 26 hours to ensure a complete turn-over of all water that does not meet drinking water guidelines.
Users with weakened immune systems or wishing additional protection should take the following precautions when drinking, washing fruit and vegetables, making beverages or ice, or when brushing teeth:
- Boil water rapidly for at least 1 minute or use an alternate safe source of water.
- Use a hand sanitizer after washing your hands.

Original Notice: October 21, 2024 18:50 - A power outage during the afternoon of October 20, 2024 has impacted ultraviolet treatment at the City of Enderby Water Treatment Plant. As technicians work to repair this issue, drinking water will only receive filtration and chlorine disinfection, but not the second ultraviolet disinfection barrier.
The City of Enderby is issuing a Water Quality Advisory effective immediately until such time as the repair has been completed. The Water Quality Advisory applies to all consumers served from the City of Enderby water system.
