Notice is hereby given that the Regional District of North Okanagan, pursuant to Sections 464.2 and 467 of the Local Government Act, will consider giving First Reading to Zoning Text Amendment Bylaw No. 2963, 2023 at their Regular Meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
Bylaw 2963 proposes to amend the RDNO Zoning Bylaw 1888, 2003 by increasing the maximum allowable size of a second residence on properties located within the Agricultural Land Reserve from 75 m2 to 90 m2 and to remove the requirement for farm status. This change is to align with the current Agricultural Land Reserve Regulations and allows for the construction of all of the winning designs in the recently held North Okanagan Secondary Dwelling Design Competition subject to all other current requirements of the Zoning Bylaw.
A public hearing for this Bylaw is not required as the proposed changes are consistent with the Official Community Plans for all of the Electoral Areas.
