Greater Vernon Water (GVW), in conjunction with Interior Health, advised the Boil Water Notice issued June 6, 2024 to some customers in the Kalamalka Lake Road area (see map below) has been RESCINDED. All bacterial results and disinfection levels are within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system.

Greater Vernon Water (GVW), in conjunction with Interior Health, advises some customers in the Kalamalka Lake Road area (see map below for affected area) that they are on a Boil Water Notice as of June 6, 2024 due to a water main break. This notice will remain in effect until rescinded by GVW.
What should affected customers do?
When water service returns, there may be some cloudiness or turbidity in the water. Customers should flush taps until the water is clear.
All customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing any food, drinking, washing fruits & vegetables, making beverages or ice or when brushing teeth.
Why is this notice in place?
All customers who are in the affected area are on a Boil Water Notice due to a water main break on Kalamalka Lake Road which caused depressurization of the main. Crews are onsite repairing the water main and water service should be restored by later this evening.
