Greater Vernon Water (GVW) is starting work on a non-potable water main renewal project. As part of the project, a section of the non-potable water main on 32nd Avenue west of Alexis Park Drive will be shut down for an investigation. This work is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, February 22nd and should take one (1) day. During that time, non-potable water will NOT be supplied to the area on the map linked below.
As agricultural turn-on has not occurred yet this year, this should only affect those customers who have requested to be “Always On” and use the water for livestock. Those customers may wish to provide an alternate source during the shutdown period.
Following the investigation, the remaining work to complete the renewal project is tentatively scheduled for early April and customers will be notified prior to the work.
