UPDATE: BOIL WATER NOTICE STILL IN EFFECT

Greater Vernon Water (GVW), in conjunction with Interior Health (IH), advises customers that a Boil Water Notice is still in effect in the following areas:

• Commonage Crescent

• Commonage Place

• 1208 Mission Road

• 1316 Mission Road

• 1400 Mission Road – NORIC HOUSE

• 1424 Mission Road

• Some areas of the DND grounds including:

o 1280 Mission Road

o 1275 Mission Road

o 700 Hwy 97

• Allan Brooks

GVW has taken corrective measures to reduce the risk to customers in the affected areas, including reservoir cleaning and increased sampling and monitoring. Long term improvements are scheduled for 2019.

This Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until GVW receives three clear consecutive bacterial sample sets taken throughout the affected areas. Road signs are in place.

What this Boil Water Notice means for affected Customers:

Customers should continue to exercise caution when using water for consumption purposes.

Water intended for the following uses should be boiled for one minute or use an alternate water source:

• drinking

• brushing teeth

• washing fruits & vegetables to be eaten raw

• preparing any foods

• mixing baby formula

• making beverages or ice
