Located on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Syilx/Okanagan people, the RDNO Agricultural Park is a 137-acre property in the BX area of the RDNO Electoral Area C. An additional 30-acre park property surrounds the Agricultural Park on three sides, which is home to the BX Trail, which connects the Agricultural Park, Mutrie Park, and BX Ranch Park. The site is ecologically diverse, containing habitat areas that support a mix of forage crops, native vegetation, and wildlife.
A development and implementation plan are currently underway, and the Okanagan Indian Band has been engaged to provide guidance and comment on a potential place name for the area. The intention is to have users, such as individual farmers, community organizations, Indigenous groups, and school groups, access the property or farming, research, and educational opportunities by Spring 2025.
