The RDNO has various capital projects and initiatives underway that will sustain and enhance infrastructure and development in the region. This includes the development of planning resources, acquisition of land, construction of trails, and upgrades to capital assets, such as water treatment plants.
Capital investment in infrastructure plays an important role in enabling economic development and supporting anticipated growth by providing services where and when they will be needed and by extending the operational lifespan of RDNO assets. Capital projects are typically funded by annual contributions from operating or from grants, reserves or by debt servicing.
