The Regional District of North Okanagan oversees select sub-regional and Electoral Area parks throughout the North Okanagan valley for resident and visitor enjoyment featuring:

  • Playgrounds
  • Dog parks
  • Trails 
  • Bird watching and wetlands
  • Undeveloped natural spaces
  • Viewing platforms

Have a furry friend?

With over 7400 licensed dogs in the area, many of our parks and trails allow dogs on-leash making your visit enjoyable for the whole family! Please note that those parks that do not allow dogs are close to playgrounds or environmentally sensitive areas. We ask all users to please check our parks and trails list to see if dogs are allowed in the area while planning your trip. 

Development Cost Charges Update Coming Soon

The RDNO is currently in the process of updating the Developer Cost Charges (DCC) Bylaw for various parks and recreation services including White Valley Parks & Recreation, Electoral Area B & C Local Parks, and Electoral Area F Parks. The updated bylaw is expected to be sent to the Board of Directors for first reading in March of 2025, with the recommendation that a public consultation process be completed after first reading is given. The public consultation process will be advertised through the RDNO Newsletter Parks subscribers, the RDNO Facebook Page, this web page, and the local paper.

Address: 7426 Crane Rd, Vernon

Crane Road Park is an undeveloped natural space that runs along Swan Lake. The future development of this park will be determined by the Greater Vernon Trails & Natural Spaces Master Plan.

Gibbs Road Tot Lot features a playground and a grassy area to relax for play. Dogs are not permitted on this site.

Grindrod Park is a 10 minute drive north of Enderby on Highway 97A. It is owned by the RDNO and operated by the Grindrod Recreation Association.
